This week I got to do something special. I hosted my first HELSA popup at Revolve's store at the Grove where people were able to feel and play with our newest collection in person. We brought Stockholm to LA. We have delicious Swedish pastries and peppermint mocha to be enjoyed while browsing racks of wool coats and jersey dresses. And of course, I wanted to create a look that felt inspired by this special event so I came up with peppermint mocha makeup. I'll break it down in steps but it's surpisingly easy!
An easy holiday look
that embraces the art
of fun and play
The eyes: I love Violette FR and her philosophy on using makeup as a way to add va va voom to an everyday look. She also embraces imperfection which is what you can do for this look. What you'll do is coat your entire eyelid with a pigmented silver shadow (I love this palette from ColourPop). Focus on the inner corners so that it really pops. Then finish with a strong wing and a smidge of gel eyeliner in the outer corner of your undereye.
The lips: Kylie Cosmetics in Lure followed by Anastasia Beverly Hills in the shade Malt. An important step here is blending the liner in with a brush because I find that helps it last a lot longer and gives a blurred look. For liquid lipstick start with a deep sangria color and then add Morphe Cosmetics in shade cocoa to the middle of your top and bottom lip for an ombre effect.
And for the last step... layer lots and lots of blush for a frosty flushed look across your cheekbones and the bridge of your nose. Thank you to everyone who came to the popup this week and we're here through December 9th!
